Abundant open space awaits you at the Shadow Mountain RV Park and Campground. A great location for a Family Reunion, or club function. Take a walk and enjoy the scenic beauty that surrounds the Campgrounds and Cabins. A great place to walk and enjoy the wildlife and fauna of the Ouachita Mountains. You may see Deer, Geese, Raccoon, Wild Turkey, Squirrels and more. Gather around and open-pit fire and roast some marshmallows.
Fishing is available on the three-acre lake, where you can catch Bass, Blue Gill, Crappie, and Catfish. Fish right from the bank or bring your canoe or small boat. Electric motors only please. In the evening, don’t be surprised if the sunset is absolutely breathtaking!
Two miles of trail is available in the park for Hiking, Mountain Biking and Horseback Riding. Additionally, the park has quick and convenient access (just across the road!) to 70 miles of fantastic ATV trails. Those are multi-use trails, so be sure to be respectful of others on the trail. Also, use caution when riding mountain bikes and ATV’s around horses. Quiet time after 10:00pm.
In addition to the abundant ATV trails in the nearby Ouachita National Forest, are also abundant MTB, Equestrian, and Hiking trails, providing many miles of adventure in the Ouachita Mountains.
The areas featured ATV Trails are the Wolf Pen Gap. These trails offer views of high mountain vistas, leading riders through an array of scenic areas such as Gap Creek and Board Camp Creek.
Large forest Pines and Hardwoods, passing by unique 2-fotted oak tree & abandoned mineshaft. Waterfalls galore after a fresh rain. Trail loops are connected to accommodate riders who want to vary the length of their trips. With over 700 miles of creek crossings, and beautiful vistas one never has to be stuck behind a slow rider! Don't have an ATV or Side by Side with you, rent one at A&J rentals and they will deliver directly to the RV park for you, show you all the safety features and soon you will be on your way to Wolf Pen Gap!
